In this play, the bunt was placed perfectly, forcing the second baseman to field the ball instead of covering the bag. Even with the correct defensive rotation, it may have gone for a hit regardless.

In standard bunt defense, the corners and pitcher charge, while the middle infielders anticipate the push bunt and then rotate back to cover their bases.
